Meet Invest in Denmark at WindEurope 2025 in Copenhagen
Denmark's climate goals
Denmark is committed to reaching very ambitious climate action goals: 70% reduction in CO2 emissions by 2030 and net zero by 2045. With more than 50% of electricity in Denmark produced from wind in 2024 and 82% coming from renewable sources, Denmark is well on its way to reaching its target of 100% green electricity by 2030.
Political agreements are in place to tender a 2-3GW of additional offshore wind in Denmark for construction before the end of 2030. Final tender material will be published in 2025 with bid submissions beginning of 2026. This is in addition to plans for quadrupling onshore green power capacity by 2030.
